NOTE: In a land deed in the Warwick record book A2, p. 339 Benjamin Barton sold to Randall Holden land given to him by his father Rufus Barton and reserved the burial ground "...in respect that my father and my eldest sonn doth lye buryed within this sd Lott at the south end thereof I have by these presents reserved to myself and to my heires for ever in that place where those graves are three rods square of land which I am to have free egress and regress to it and from it as I or wee shall see ocation: onely neither I myself nor my heires hereafter may have liberty by this act either to pasture or plant or sowe any sorte of seed upon this sd three rods of land or upon any part thereof"
